The conversion of a dysfunctional salt-water pool in the South-West of France.

Partial demolition of the existing shell was followed by the construction of two new 'tram-line' walls and the pouring of a new deep-end basin to decrease the pool's overall water volume - a move to ease the strain on pump and filtration equipment.

Limestone coping, sourced locally and milled to order, provides a solid visual frame to the pool while a rich planting scheme by Edward Shackleton helps embed the pool into its surroundings.
